Donald M. Gonyeau, 94, of Brewerton, passed away Tuesday at the VA Medical Center, Syracuse, NY. Born in Pyrites, NY, he resided in Norfolk and attended school, in Potsdam.
He resided in Brewerton over 50 years with his wife, Marjorie. He worked as Sales Manager for many years at City Electric Co. in Syracuse. While there, he was awarded several trips which included Holland, Japan, Spain and Acapulco. After retirement, he enjoyed working at Home Depot in Cicero for many years. He enjoyed Golfing, Bowling and Boating. He was a life long woodworker who restored antique boats and hand crafted several novelties.
He was also an animal lover. He belonged to the Oneida Lake Assoc., the Lions Club of Brewerton and American Legion 0915 in Central Square, NY. He is predeceased by his daughter, Linda Kanfoush; sisters, Glendora and Vera; and brother, Clyde.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marjorie; daughters, Kathy (Michael) Wright and Karen (Donald) Wise; four grandchildren; twins, Kelsey and Kristopher, and Connor Wright and Haley Wise.
Private Services will be in Norwood, New York.
