Donald J. Ryan, 74, formerly of Pennellville died Sunday. A native of Syracuse, he graduated from St. Lucy's Academy. Don retired from Gulf Oil Co. and US Postal Service. He was predeceased by his parents, J. Vincent and Marguerite Ryan; a daughter, Mary Margaret in 1963; brother, Donald; sisters, Mary Alice Alexander and H. Patricia Ryan.
Surviving are daughters, Kathleen (Mark) McGinley of Phoenix, NY, Patricia Ryan of Ballston Spa and Mary (Howard) Monise of Corona, CA; son, Michael (Debra) Ryan of Saranac Lake; his former wife and friend, Joan Madlin Ryan Scinski of Edgewater, FL; sister, Margaret (Charles) Sallin of E. Syracuse; seven grandchildren, a great grandson, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday at 12 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hour will be Thursday from 11 AM- 12 PM at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St.
