Donald J. Plouffe

Donald J. "Don" Plouffe, 86, of Clay, passed away on Monday. He was born on November 2, 1927, in Syracuse, NY, son of Joseph and Marion (Ennis) Plouffe. He retired from Lipe Rollway after 40 years of employment. Don was an avid reader of local history and enjoyed the outdoors.
He was also a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn (Clark) in 1995, two sons: Steven in 2012 and John Plouffe in 2013.
Surviving are his children: Robert (Judy) Plouffe, Jeanne (Joe) Trinca, Richard Plouffe, Anne (Steven) Graf, Mary Jo (Patrick) McAskill, 9 grandchildren: Jessica, Donny, Joseph, Matthew, Jeremy, Pretty Little Blue Eyed Jenny, Tyler, Spencer & Austin , 3 great grandchildren: Ethan, Brynn & Elizabeth, brother, Raymond (MaryJane) Plouffe and sister, Mildred Spinelli.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday 9am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 3494 Rte. 31, Baldwinsville, 13027. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY.
Don always said, "If it wasn't for Plouffe Luck, he would have no luck at all."
