Donald E. Houck, Sr

Donald E Houck Sr. 97 of Liverpool passed away peacefully at the Sunnyside Care Center on February 2 2023. Donald grew up on a farm in Mifflinville PA. The youngest of three children, he signed up for the Army on his 18th birthday and proudly defended our country in World War II. Upon returning home from the war he met his wife Virginia Ann Heffner and together they raised 5 children. Donald became a carpenter by trade and his company built many large projects in the area including Grenadier Village apartments and the Liverpool YMCA. He also enjoyed flying and was an avid pilot. Donald was predeceased by his wife Virginia in 1983 and his daughter Donna Hanavan in 2012.

He is survived by his 4 children Cynthia Koolakian of Liverpool, Richard J. of Bridgeport, Donald E. Jr of Palm beach Gardens, FL., John S.(Stephanie ) of Liverpool and 7 grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours and a private burial will take place in Mifflinville PA.
