Donald Hogan, 100, of Syracuse, NY passed away on July 29.2024.

Don was born October 17, 1923, to Clarence and Pauline (Haines) Hogan.

He was predeceased by his wife Cathleen (Fay) Hogan and his siblings Pauline, Earl and Art.

He is survived by his daughter Donna (Jose) Sierra; son Patrick Hogan; grandchildren; Danny, Patricia, Samantha, Diego; great grandchildren; Sergio, Ana, Adriana, Gael, Lucianna, Daniela, and Vera.

His guardian angel during the last days, Se. Mary Joanna Baidoo, IMM.

He graduated from North High School. After serving in the Coast Guard he became an officer for the Syracuse police department and later employee of the U.S Postal Service.

All his life he has been an avid sports fan and was an accomplished athlete himself. After retiring he enjoyed traveling in Europe and the US. His most loved hobby was doing any remodeling project he could find. To that his children and neighbors can attest.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Opening his home and heart to all.

A funeral mass will be held Monday, August 5th, at 10 am at All Saints Church 1340 Lancaster Ave Syracuse, with a burial to follow at St Mary’s Cemetery Dewitt.
