Donald F. Haselmayer

Donald F. Haselmayer (79) of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away with his family by his side on March 5, 2023.

Donald was born to the late Edward and Sylvia Haselmayer on November 7, 1943, in Syracuse, NY.

He was a 1962 graduate of North Syracuse Central High School and shortly thereafter went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corp.

Don met the love of his life, "his sweetheart", Georgia, in the year 1970. They raised three daughters together.

Don was a proud long-time employee of Syroco Inc., where he was employed for nearly 40 years. Don also enjoyed working summer clambakes at the family restaurant "The Spinning Wheel".

Don loved to spend time outdoors, watching and talking about sports, and being involved in his children's and grandchildren's lives. He was an avid New York Yankee fan, and a member of St. Augustine's Church. Don was a hard-working family man and always put his kids first.

Donald is survived by his wife, Georgia Haselmayer; siblings, Edward (Ann) Haselmayer, his twin sister, Judy Pickreign, and Rob (Nancy) Haselmayer; daughters, Bridget (David) Antzak, Tracy Rouse (Scott Birmingham) and Amy Rouse (Jeff Sampler); grandchildren, Rayel Antzak, Tyler (Emma) Rouse, Austin Antzak, Jadyn Antzak, Aidan Birmingham and Ava Birmingham; and great grandchild, Ottavio Antzak-Zavaglia; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St, North Syracuse, NY, on Sunday, March 12th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

A Funeral Services will be held the following day, Monday, March 13th, at 10:00 am, with a burial to follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Baldwinsville, New York.
