Donald F. Decker, 87, of Freeville, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 6th. Donald served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the NYS Department of Corrections having served in several facilities. He enjoyed gardening and playing guitar and piano. Donald's interests also included science fiction and politics. Most of all, he enjoyed his time with his children and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Alta Decker; three siblings, Edward Decker, Jr, Frances Seagren and Marjorie Soutar and one grandson, Max Ramiro Ortiz.
Donald is survived by his two daughters, Brenda Decker and Samantha (Phillip) Decker-Ortiz; four grandchildren, Randall Decker, Amanda Empson, Hannah Empson and Sophia Ortiz; brother, Robert (JoAnn) Decker and several nieces and nephews.
Services are private for the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Childen's Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
