Donald B. "Don" Kruttschnitt, 67, of Syracuse passed on Sunday, at Iroquois Nursing Home after a battle with cancer. Don received his BA in Chemistry & Economics at Ohio Wesleyan University and his JD Degree from Syracuse University Law in 1971. He practiced law for 42 years in Syracuse. Don also refereed High School & College Football for 38 years. He received the Football Official of the Year in 2010.
Surviving are a son, Eric (Kristina), a daughter, Laura (Justin) Ray, 3 grandchildren, Kaylin VanAuken, Madelyn Kruttschnitt, Emily Ray, sister, Susan (Greg) Fish and former wife, Patricia Kruttschnitt.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow.
