Dolores Sudmyer of Fayetteville, NY, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital with her caretaker and companion of 45 years, Bill Olin, by her side.
"Dee", or "Lucy" to some, was born in Philadelphia as the only child of Charles and Anna Dolde, but spent most of her adult life in the Syracuse area. She retired from Macy's in 2000 where she worked as a sales associate for 22 years. Dee loved to shop and take care of her cats, but she was most proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by a son, Robert Sudmyer of Grafton, MA; a son, Ronald and his wife, Margie Sudmyer of Framingham, MA; a daughter, Nancy Sudmyer of Fayetteville, NY; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
