Diana Lynn (Parisi) Nodine

September 4, 1966 — June 11, 2017

Diana Lynn Nodine (Parisi), also known as Dee Dee, Dee Dee Do and a wide selection of various other nicknames has gained her wings on Sunday, June 11, 2017 after putting up one hell of a fight worthy of the record books. She passed way peacefully in the comfort of her own home, among family, friends and her infamous Wall of Inspiration.

Diana was a free spirit, the life of the party and a true fighter. You could find her crashing a wedding reception at the beach, striking up conversations with random strangers and being the master mind of many humorous antics at her job - CNY Surgical Physicans. She never backed down from a challenge and with her positive yet stubborn attitude, she fought like hell against a force bigger than her and surprised us all with her tenacity and determination. She has been an inspiration to anyone that had the privilege of knowing her.

She loved making new friends, hanging out on the beach or in a pool with a cold one in hand and trying to get anyone to watch a horror movie with her. She was a great story teller, often reducing many people to tears and doubling over with laughter. Bah! Most of all - she loved to sing and dance!
When asked, "How do you want to be remembered?" She responded, "I was fun to be around, lived life to the fullest, giving, good friend and mother, happy and go lucky, empathetic, cheerful, stubborn and silly."

She is predeceased by her mother, Beverly Steinbach and father, Vincient Parisi. She is survived by her four children Bri Bri, Jer Bear, JoJo and Jessie Girl. She is also survived by her sister, Rita Vedsted and brother, David Steinbach - many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in Saranac Lake, NY as well as her 3 Maureens - Maureen S, Mook and MJ. A very special thank you to Dr. Cherny and the Hematology Oncology Associates team, Dr. Desimone with CNY Surgical Physicans, Amy Hess (Chatty Patty), Amore Bango and the Hospice of Central New York team.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Fair Haven Beach State Park at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to www.supportalcf.org/InLovingMemory/Dianalynnparisi in hopes of finding a cure.
