Diana M. Holmes

Diana M. Holmes, 75, passed away peacefully on Monday with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late James M. and Addie P. Geelan.
She was a volunteer for the American Heart Association, running the bingo hall at the Knights of Columbus on Burnett Ave. She loved shopping, eating out at restaurants, and vacations in Cape May, NJ but most of all spending time with all of her family.
Diana is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Richard Holmes Sr.; 9 children, Diana (Richard) Myers, Richard (Helen) Holmes Jr., Thomas (Candy) Holmes, Laura (Russell) Guynup, Cheryl Holmes, Brian (Mary) Holmes, Lisa Holmes, Chris (Kelly) Holmes and Timothy (Lezlie) Holmes; sister, Villa (Ralph) Walker; 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Dennis Holmes and her 6 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will take place Monday, 4-8 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Valley Cemetery, Syracuse.
