Dennis R. Young, 60, of Mattydale, NY, passed away suddenly on Monday. He retired from National Grid in 2007 after 38 years of service. He also served 4 years in the US Air Force. Denny enjoyed his summer camp at Brennan Beach and entertaining with his many friends at his tiki bar. His recent plans included spending his winters in Florida with his beloved pooch Hannah. He loved SU basketball and leaves a huge hole in the hearts he touched. He was predeceased by his father, Robert B. Young in 1998.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Kristin (Mick) Hannan of Big Bear Lake, CA; his mother, Julia V. Young of Mattydale; his brother, Robert C. (Jane) Young of Constantia; his sister, Susan (Daniel) Radford of Syracuse; 3 grandchildren; 1 niece; and 3 nephews.
Services will be Wednesday Noon at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St. N. Syracuse. Burial will follow in the Veteran's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
