Denise Mahoney

Denise A. Mahoney, 72, of Syracuse, passed away May 20, 2024. Denise was born in Syracuse, New York on March 20, 1952 to Daniel Sr. and Donaldline Hurry.

Denise retired from The Crossings Nursing and Rehab Centre, Minoa. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her best-friend, Linda, and her sisters, Donna and Kathy, playing cards. Most of all she enjoyed winning the games. In her younger years she greatly enjoyed bowling, spending much of her time with her sisters and brothers at the Syracuse Bowling Alley. Denise was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend.

She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Hurry, Sr.; mother, Donaldline J. Bryerton; sister, Deborah Cook; brothers, Daniel Hurry, Jr. and David Hurry, Sr.; and husband, Kenneth R. Mahoney.

She is survived by her daughters, Tonya Hurry, Kendra DePalma; sons, Charles Fasching, Dennis Spencer, Justin Mahoney; grandchildren, Alicia Hurry, Jared, Zoe, Nicholas, Nathan; sister, Donna Procopio; brother, Donald Hurry, Sr.; many nieces, and nephews, including Christina and David Hurry Jr. whom she helped raise and were more like her second children; and also many Friends and In-Laws.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, North Syracuse, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00pm.
