Denise L. Look

Denise Louise Look died on April 11, 2018 after a long battle with health issues.
Dee Dee was born May 12, 1959 in Syracuse, New York. She was a longtime resident of Brewerton, New York.
Dee Dee received an Associate's Degree from Bryant & Stratton in Computer Technology. She had worked as a supervisor at the Red Cross and then later Sutherland.
Dee Dee enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family. She initiated and helped a local Boy Scout earn his Eagle Award by creating a friendship garden at the apartment building where she lived.
She had numerous humanitarian causes. Some of which included volunteering at the Humane Association of CNY. While there she fostered several dogs, advocated for the use of therapy animals, and against the mistreatment of racing greyhounds for sport. Dee Dee was passionate about raising awareness about the state of our planet and the creatures who live here, particularly the melting polar icecaps and the animals in those regions.
She worked on the voter registration committee for several years.
Dee Dee was an active member of Saint Agnes Church in Brewerton for many years before its closing. She was very giving of her time as a Faith Formation teacher and sang at the Saturday evening Masses for many years.
But when it came right down to it, her true passions in life were flip flops, flamingos, and her one true love…Mickey Mouse.
Dee Dee is survived by her beloved cat "Betty", her father, Thomas Look, her siblings, Deborah Look, Sharlene Hillenbrand, Vincent Look, (Cindy Look), five nieces and nephews, and four great nieces and nephews. Her loving mother predeceased her, Shirley Look.
Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, N. Syracuse on Tuesday, April 17 from 2-5pm. Funeral Service will follow at 5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Humane CNY, 4915 West Taft Road, Liverpool, NY 13088; phone number is 315-457-8762.
