Dawn Marie Umstead

Dawn Marie Umstead, 56 of Syracuse passed away November 5th 2022. Dawn was born in Syracuse, New York on December 11th 1965.

She was a loving mother, a devoted nanny, a sister and a wonderful friend to many. She attended Corcoran High School. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching old T.V shows. Everyone who has had the honor of knowing Dawn, truly loved her. She was a special "one of a kind" person and will truly be missed.

She was predeceased by her mother Doris Moncrief Umstead Knight and her brother Donald Umstead Sr.

She is survived by her Daughters Starr Heffentrager and Lisa Philips(Dale Braymiller), Her sons Darryl Philips Jr. and Joseph Fleury. Her Grandchildren Aaron, Dylan, Darryl III, Dallas, Ciarah, Mystikal, Kayla, Jojo and Damien. Her Sisters and B rothers Dana Umstead Sr., Derek Umstead, Darlene Scott, Deborah Medler, DarLynn Moncrief and Daryl Moncrief and many nieces and nephews, along with her lifelong Friend Michelle Mcdonald.

Family and friends may attend calling hours on Tuesday, November 15th from 11am-12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N Main St. North Syracuse, NY. Funeral service will follow at 12pm.
