Dawn Rock, 37 of Mexico died unexpectedly Thursday at Oswego City Hospital. Dawn was employed by Oswego County DSS as a Welfare Examiner. Dawn, a high honor roll graduate of Oswego H.S. Class of 1991. Dawn was Jr. VP of Oswego County Ladies Auxiliary, Veteran family support Chaplain and member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 369 in Mexico. Dawn was instrumental in organizing "Adopt A Troop" with the VFW Post 369. She was predeceased by her father, Claude B. Rock in 2010.

She is survived by her fiancé "love of her life" Bobby Raquet of Mexico; her mother, Connie (Brad Drake) Rock of E. Syracuse; a sister, Tammy (Larry Pelkey) Cummings of Brewerton; a brother, Mark Rock of Palm Bay, FL; nephews, Justin and Brandon Cummings, Riley and Caleb Rock and Corey Jocko.

Services will be 7 pm Tuesday at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be from 4-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St..
