Dawn Michelle Lopergolo, 51, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on June 15, 2024. Born on November 18, 1972, in Syracuse, NY, she was a beloved mother, sister, daughter, and friend known for her warmth, humor, and culinary skills.
Dawn graduated from West Genesee High School and earned an associate degree in applied science from Onondaga Community College. Her career was marked by compassion and dedication to helping others, beginning with an internship at Hillbrook Detention Center, followed by a position at Booth House, a homeless shelter for juveniles.
Dawn's life was rich with personal relationships. She is survived by her mother, Denella Kuss (Carr); brothers, Arthur Cole and Richard Lopergolo; sisters, Candace Cole and Charo Lopergolo; sons, Damian Lopergolo and Louis Hart; grandchildren, Gianna King, Julian, Silas, and Londyn Lopergolo; nieces, April, Brittany, and Brooke Lopergolo; and great-niece, Jah'la Lopergolo.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Lopergolo, and sister, Diana Kenney (Cole).
Calling hours for Dawn will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals in North Syracuse, NY, on Friday, July 5th from 3-4pm with a service to follow.
Dawn will be remembered for her loving nature and her deep devotion to her family and community.
