David Lawrence Thompson, 65, of Liverpool, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024.
David was born in Johnson City, New York, on November 7, 1958, to the late Merty C.F. Smith.
David worked at Cooper Crouse-Hinds for 20 years before retiring in 2009 after his first open heart surgery.
David overcame so many trials and tribulations in his life but still gave so much love to everyone he knew.
He was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend to so many. When you think of David, you can hear his distinct laugh. He was an honest and giving man who helped so many in need. He was a family man who cherished every moment with those he loved. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his friends and brothers. He was an avid Giants fan who would never brag about all the Super Bowls they won to his friends.
David was preceded in death by his son Matthew (Jamie)Thompson.
David is survived by his two daughters, Shannin (Adam MacKenzie) Thompson and Misti (Peter) Biddlecome; Son Gary Stupp; four grandsons, Landin, Aidan, Ethan Mackenzie, and Dylan Thompson; four granddaughters, Mckenzie Hanlon, Alanna Thompson, Sarah Stupp, and Olivia Stupp; two brothers, Don Clark and Timothy (Annette) Slater; sister Effie Baldwin; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 4pm to 7pm at Newcomer Cremations and Funerals, 705 North Main St, North Syracuse, NY.
A graveside service and burial will follow on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 9:30am at Riverview Cemetery, 70 Tappan Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
