David John Schlueter

David John Schlueter, 85, of North Syracuse, passed away July 4, 2022 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 10, 1937, son of the late William and Elizabeth Schlueter. David was a veteran and served honorably in the Marines, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He owned and operated Schlueter Sheet Metal, Inc. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He had a quick witted sense of humor and enjoyed laughing. He loved spending time with family, fishing, target shooting, and playing cards.

He was preceded in death by father, William Schlueter (1993); mother, Elizabeth May Wehrung (2004); and brother, Hank Schlueter (1965).

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Beverly Schlueter, his children and their families, Elizabeth Schlueter, David (Billie) Schlueter, William (Sharon) Schlueter, Kimberly (John) Green, Richard (Kelly) Sharpe, Dean (Kelly) Schlueter, Jean (Steve Burrows) Rinaldi, and Scott (Lucy) Schlueter, 17 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and brothers, Robert Schlueter and Ralph Schlueter.

Please join us in celebrating his life Monday July 11, 2022, between 12:00pm – 3:00pm (services following) at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse, NY 13212. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in David's name be made to Clear Path for Veterans, 1223 Salt Springs Road, Chittenango, NY, 13037-9795.
