David S. Schmidt, 60, of Minoa, passed away on Friday after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Dec. 31, 1953, son of the late Wallace and Marilyn Schmidt. He was a very loving father and proud grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Chad and Jessica Schmidt; two grandchildren, Hayden and Sophia Schmidt; four brothers, Eric, Wallace "Ted", Kevin, and Jeff Schmidt; four sisters, Karin Benedict, Brenda Jennejohn, Kathy Abbott, and Beth Schmidt; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held July 20 from 10AM-12PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. A service will follow at 12PM.
