David R. Drummond, 48, of E. Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday.
David was predeceased by his father, Merrick R. Drummond n 1980.
He is survived by Monica Morey, the love of his life for 22 years; daughter, Ashlyn Drummond of E. Syracuse; parents, Dick and Sue Alt of Brewerton; brother, Scott Drummond of Syracuse; nephew, Marcus Drummond of Brewerton; step-brothers, Rick Alt of Baldwinsville and Bob Alt of Liverpool; mother-in-law, Deborah Furbeck of New York City; father-in-law, Warren Reed of Manlius; sister-in-law, Shannon Lawton of Minoa; brother-in-law, James Morey of Granby and 2 nephews and one niece.
David was a very hardworker. He took pride in whatever he did whether it be work with his CDL or operating heavy equipment for paving and excavating companies. David loved to cook, especially for all his extended family who he dearly loved. At the age of 45, David made a decision to return to school. He graduated from OCC in December 2014 with an Associate's Degree. He was presently enrolled in Le Moyne College.
Calling hours will be Tuesday 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Graveside services will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers please send contributions to Helping Hounds, 6606 Kinne Rd., Dewitt.
