David P. Casolare , 61, passed away Thursday, at his residence with his loving family by his side.

David was the son of the late Edward and Erma (Beck) Casolare.
He was also pre-deceased by his brother, Walt and sisters, Norma, Diane and Erma.

He was employed at North Syracuse School District for 30 years. Dave was an avid golfer, playing quite a bit at Rogue's Roost. David also enjoyed fishing, being out on Oneida Lake. The holidays were David's favorite. He always prepared a feast of turkey, ham, spaghetti and raviolis. He was known for his famous chili recipe and his love of wine making. His buddy "Duke", will miss their many trips to Dunkin Donuts for the donuts and bacon.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne, his 2 step-sons, Joseph (Tanya) Commisso, James (Sue) Commisso, 2 step-daughters, Sondra Commisso (Jim Dawson), Serena Commisso (Tony Prince), grandchildren, Anthony, Brandi (John), Amanda, Nico, Nikki, Dessye, Tonimarie, Brittany, Joey, 2 brothers, Eddie (Kathy) and Ronnie (Sue) Casolare, sister, Marylou Coon, Sandy (Steve) Transue, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow.
