David W. Newton, Sr

November 28, 1943 — May 10, 2021

David W. Newton, Sr, 77, of Mattydale, passed away on Monday at the Francis House. David was born in Jordan on November 28, 1943 the son of Emeritt and Dorothy Newton. David served with the US Air Force and retired from New York Telephone in Syracuse. David was predeceased by his daughter, Michelle Newton.

He is survived by wife, Carolina Newton; sons, Adam (Jamie) Newton, Richard Newton, David Newton, Jr.; five grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Bowen and Donna McKenzie.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services at 4pm.

Donations may be made to the Golisano's Children's Hospital.

Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
