David M. Smith, 49, of Mattydale passed away unexpectedly on Saturday. He was born on June 8, 1965 in Oswego, son of Richard and Ann (McClelland) Smith. He was a former Sheet Metal Worker for Local #58 in Syracuse. David was a member of the BCCA, he was a member of the Congress Chapter and was an avid beer can collector. He enjoyed motorcycles, was an avid animal lover who loved his cats.
Surviving are his beloved wife Kristine of 15 years, 2 daughters: Samantha Reustle, Olivia Smith, 2 sons: Chad & Gary, his parents, 3 sisters: Christine (Marty) Wallace, Robin (Rev. Robert) Lucas, Catherine Mitchell, brother Richard (Debbie) Smith, along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
