David M. Johnston, 68, of Oswego, passed away on Friday at Oswego City Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on August 11, 1945 in Sidney, NY. He served in the US Navy as an Inertial Navigation Tech aboard US submarines from 1964-72. He was a longtime member of the American Legion and on June 20, 1973 he was married to Kris Rivers in Syracuse.
Surviving are his wife Kris, 2 sons: Dennis and fiancée Leah Soule, David & wife, Audrey, 3 grandchildren: Evan, Ryan & Dorian, along with his best friend, Teddy.
He was predeceased by his sister, Von MacDonald.
Services will be private.
