David William Lockwood

David William Lockwood, 73, of Syracuse, NY; A loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, passed away on September 19th, 2024 at St. Camillus Nursing and Rehab, after suffering a massive stroke. David was surrounded by family, his daughter Jennifer and comforted by his wife, Doreen. David was born in Fulton NY, on September 14th, 1951 to Donald Wallace and Helen Irene Lockwood (Smith). He attended school in Fulton NY. David was employed with Carrier Corporation and a salvage business in his younger years. In his spare time, David enjoyed fixing and racing cars at the Fulton speedway. His race car was # 62. David's greatest joy was being a father and grandfather.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Irene Smith; father, Donald Wallace Lockwood; sister, Lois Lockwood; brother, Thomas Lockwood; half brother, William J. Merril; daughter, Brenda Lee Simmons (twin sister to Jennifer); and ex-wife Janet Graves.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Doreen J. Lockwood (Chisamore) of Syracuse; daughter, Jennifer Whitney; grandchildren, Tyler, Jackson, Kaytlyn, and Liam (William) of Florida; and many other extended family members and friends who will forever remember his love.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday September 25, 2024 from 9 - 11AM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 North Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212, where a service will follow at 11AM. Burial will be held at Mount Adnah Cemetery Fulton, NY 13069.
