David J. White

David J. White, age 74 of Syracuse, NY, passed away on April 16, 2025. He was born on May 17, 1950, in Syracuse, NY. He is survived by his beloved partner Kelly Mattiaccio; his three sisters, Karen, Jean and Nancy; his children, Shelly Chizzonite (David), Russell White (Emily), Kelly Renshaw (Dave), Michael Mattiaccio and Phil Mattiaccio (Carrie); thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild and many cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends. He was predeceased by his parents; Ralph and Genevieve (Sellin) White; brother, Norbert and daughter, Janelle. Dave retired after a full career at New Venture Gear (Magna). He was known to be the hardest of workers and took great pride in a job well done. He considered helping his friends, neighbors, and family to be the most important work he did, and his assistance was always met with appreciation and gratitude by all who received it. Dave balanced hard work by enjoying leisurely activities, golfing at Rogue’s Roost Golf Course and bowling at Green Lakes Lanes. He cherished his time with his family at Sandy Pond, boating, water skiing, and relaxing on the beach. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse, New York 13212 from 12pm - 3pm with a service immediately following. Memorial donations may be made to Devin’s Rec Room, 511 Butternut Street, Syracuse, NY 13208, in memory of David J. White.
