David B. Spitler, 64, of Syracuse, died Tuesday at Syracuse VA Medical Center. He was born in Cressona on February 17, 1946, the son of the late Robert W. and Esther V. (Strauch) Spitler. He attended Schuylkill Haven schools and served in the Navy from 1966 to 1971.
David owned Dave's Bar & Grill in Delray, FL. He was a member of the VFW 4141, American Legion Post 65, Delray Eagles, all in Delray Beach, FL and in Syracuse, he was a life member of the VFW 7290. He was preceded in death by brothers Robert, Sonny, and William Spitler; sisters Loretta Howell and Ann McMullin.
He is survived by his Fiance, Daintry Lotito and her two children Audrey and Troy Lotito; and Daintry's parents, Marc and Holly Beaudin and her brother, Marc Beaudin; his sisters Nancy Menaugh, Jean (Leonard) Geary; brother, Richard Spitler; nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be Sunday (April 25, 2010), 1 PM at the VFW 7290, North Syracuse.
