David A. Phillips

September 23, 1953 — July 18, 2012

David A. "Buzz" Phillips. 58, of Mattydale, New York died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at home following a long battle with several cancers.

He retired from Crouse Hinds in June following 34 years of service as a Punch Press Operator. Buzz was predeceased by his father,
Edward Phillips in 1997 and a sister, Bette Sue Phillips in 1985.

Surviving are his main squeeze of 24 years the former Georgia Morrissey; sons, Edward (Kim) Phillips of Syracuse, New York and David (Amanda) Phillips of Erie, Pennsylvania; daughters, Victoria (Brian Weber) Phillips of Camillus, New York, Michelle (Tiffany) Phillips of North Syracuse, New York and Lisa (Don) Hopkins of Mattydale, New York; his mother, Marguerite Chapin Phillips of Mattydale, New York; sisters, Candace Phillips of Syracuse, New York, Jo Ann Phillips of Central Square, New York and Terri Desimone of Syracuse, New York; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 9 AM on Saturday. July 28, 2012 at Liverpool First United Methodist Church, 604 Oswego Street, Liverpool, New York. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt, New York. There will be no calling hours.

Contributions may be made to Hospice Foundation of CNY or to the ASPCA.
