Darlene "Sissy" Spinner

Darlene Anne Spinner, 66, lovingly known as "Sissy," was born on December 1, 1958, in Syracuse, NY. She passed away on her big sister Bonnie L. Spinners birthday, January 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love.

Darlene was renowned for her hilarious personality and her unapologetic approach to life. She had a unique gift for making others laugh, often cracking jokes at the expense of family members, and bringing joy to every gathering. There was never a dull moment when she was around, as her mischievous spirit and caring nature made her the heart of the family.

Darlene loved nothing more than spending time with her family and indulging in her favorite hobbies, which included playing cards and visiting the casino. She found joy in sitting outside, trash talking and enjoying moments with her loved ones. Her passion for life was evident in everything she did; she lived under her own circumstances and embraced every moment unapologetically.

She is preceded by her parents Barbara and Howard Spinner, big sisters Bonnie Spinner, Donna Byrd and her brothers James Spinner and Joe Spinner.

She is survived by her loving family including two sisters, Diane Spinner and Cheryl & Frank Dare. Sissy had many nieces and nephews that loved her deeply including , Michael ,Monique and Lakota Printup, Neisa, Jae'ceion and Mehlani, Shaunna and Ocean Spivey-Spinner . Darlene’s huge heart and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In the words of Darlene, she truly lived life to the fullest, always ready to share a laugh, a story, or a kind word. Her impact on the lives of those around her will forever be cherished, and her memory will continue to bring smiles to the faces of her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday February 3, 2025 from 3-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY, with a service at 4pm.
