On this day, August 11, 2021, Darlene (Gordon) Darrow started her journey to the Sky World. She was born on October 9, 1943.
Darlene belonged to the Bear Clan of the Mohawk Nation. A woman of great character, she was a hard worker and retired from Hutchings Psychiatric Center after 38 years of service as a Medical Record Specialist. She influenced many people. We may have lost a wonderful and loving special woman, but we get the love that she shared with everyone she would meet. She will continue to live in every heart that she touched, and love that she shared. A grandma and mentor to so many grandchildren that she loved, and who loved her dearly. Darlene loved to shop on all the home shopping channels, traveling with family, spending time at the senior lunches, playing bingo, but mostly sharing Sunday and holiday dinners with her family, especially Christmas.
She is survived by her daughters, Darien Gabriel (Frankie), Shannon St. Dennis (Matthew); sons Raun Gabriel (Christine), Shawn Darrow (Mary), and Patrick Darrow (Cheryl), many grandchildren, and great grandchildren; siblings, Gary Gordon (Maxine), and Valerie Gordon. She was predeceased by her parents Louis Gordon, Josephine Gordon; siblings, George Gordon and Sharon Wilbur; ex-husband, Maynard Gabriel; and spouse Patrick Darrow.
We love and will miss you dearly Queen Darlene but will hold your love in our hearts forever. Thank you for being you!
