Darlene A. Adamy, 73, passed away Sunday, July 5th at home surrounded by her family. Darlene was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. She graduated from Henninger High School and went on to Continental School of Cosmetology. She worked at the Headquarters Salon in Dewitt for 25 years. Darlene enjoyed bingo, bowling and spending time with family and friends. Darlene married the love of her life in 1970 and they would have been married 50 years this October.
Darlene was predeceased by her parents, Gertrude and Herbert VanArnam; mother and father-in-law, Rose and Robert Adamy; brothers, Billy Johnson, David (Mary) Johnson and Jack VanArnam.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Adamy; brothers, Richard Johnson and Tom VanArnam; sister, Barbara Scheel; three children, Deborah (Carl) Spinner, Jr., Jason ( Shawna) Adamy and Stacey (Joe) Adamy; and seven grandchildren, Carl (Samantha) Spiner III, Ashley (Jordan) Spinner, Shane Spinner, Taylor Spinner, Michael Crisalli, Sophia Garcia, Carly Garcia and 4 legged grandkids, Ralph and Axl.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 10th 3-5pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals with a service to follow at 5pm. Contributions may be made to Carl Adamy for his future care.
