Darlene A. Butler

Darlene Butler, 73, passed away on August 22, 2024, in Syracuse. She was born on February 23, 1951, to Charles and Ethel. She spent her entire life in Syracuse.

Darlene was married on May 21, 1983, to Charles Butler, they went on to be married for 41 years. Darlene was a loving wife and mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She was known for her kindness and generosity. She was loved by many. She enjoyed being with family, playing cards, and telling it like it was. Darlene will be severely missed. She was an angel on earth to the people who knew her best. Now she is an angel in heaven.

She was predeceased by her son Richard; her brothers, Daryl, Lawrence and Leland; and her sisters, Fran and Verna. 

She is survived by her husband Charles Butler; her children, Joseph (Melinda) and Carmen (Kathy); her 11 grandchildren; daughter in law, Kim; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm with a service to be held at 6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main Street, North Syracuse, NY 13212.
