Daniel "Zip" D. Ziparo, 88, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Friday.
Zip was a truck driver all of his life. He loved trying his luck with the lottery and horse racing. He always wanted to live in harmony.
He was predeceased by his two wives, Ann G. Gaber and Suzanne Quinn; brothers, Dominick (Jerri), Samuel (Toni); and his sister, Katherine.
Surviving are his children, Margaret (Mo) Nasiff, Diane (Jack) Cummings, James Ziparo, Daniel Ziparo, Kathy (Rick) Smith; grandchildren, William Philbin (Christy), Daniel Cummings, and Joseph Cummings; four great-grandchildren; and several nephews and one niece.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Thursday, October 3 at 10:30 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, James Street, Syracuse. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, DeWitt.
