Daniel R. Smyth, 72, of Cicero, passed away on Tuesday at the VA Hospital. Born in Syracuse, Dan served in the US Navy, was a member of the American Legion Post # 1276 and Lakeshore Country Club. He retired from the steel business after 40 years.
Survived by his mother, Jane Smyth, Gerri and Michael Petragnani, a sister, Linda (John) Aksterowicz, four brothers; Patrick, Jr. (Janet), Bill (Bonnie), Edward, Jack (Jane), several nieces and nephews, two daughters and grandchildren. Predeceased by his father, Patrick, Sr. and brother, Richard. The Family would like to thank the 8th floor staff at the VA Hospital for their care.
Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to VA Recreation Dept., 800 Irving Ave., Syracuse, NY 13210.
