Daniel R. Huntley, 66 of Central Square died Tuesday at home. Born in Syracuse he was the son of the late Daniel T. and Laura Gifford Huntley. Dan retired from New Venture Gear in 2003 following 29 years of service.
A loving and devoted husband and father, he was a man of many interests. He enjoyed playing cards, golfing, woodworking, driving his 1940 Ford and spending time with his family and friends. He was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam. Dan was predeceased by his brother Thomas Huntley in 2003.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years the former Dorothy Neimeier, two daughters; Danielle Huntley of Cicero and Amy Huntley of Clay, two sisters; Carol (Bob) Millett of Plattsburg and Joan Scott of Denver, CO., a sister-in-law; Jeanne Huntley, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
Calling hours will be Saturday 12:00-2:00 pm with services to follow immediately at 2:00 pm with Rev. J. Michael Thesier officiating at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will be private.
Contributions can be made to the American Legion Post 915 Memorial Fund, Central Square, NY.
