Dan Kallfelz, 69, of Chittenango, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Iroquois Nursing Home after a long illness. Dan was born in Syracuse on June 11, 1954, the son of Leonard and Theresa Kallfelz (nee Callahan). He was a talented carpenter who owned and operated his own firm for over 40 years, helping people all over central New York build and refurbish their dream homes. Dan enjoyed spoiling his grandkids, hosting his large family, he was an avid fisherman, duck hunter, and gardener. Dan was predeceased by his Father in 2011.
He is survived by his five daughters, Tina (David) McCarthy, Kelly Kallfelz-Pritchard, Patti (Zev) Kallfelz-Werts, Colleen Burgess, Maggie Kallfelz (Michael Coyne), and grandchildren, Cody, Mackenzie, Maximus, Patrick, Noah, Christopher, Ella, great-granddaughter, Vivian, sister, Sue (Dave) Dobreski, brother, Len Kallfelz (Kathy Manser), sister, Karen Khammar (Jim Murray), his mother, Theresa Kallfelz, along with many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday April 3, 2024 from 4-6 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made in his name to the Oneida Lake Association. An organization dedicated to the protection of the fisheries, wildlife, and natural resources of Oneida Lake, his favorite place to fish.
