Daniel D. Koch

Daniel D. Koch, of East Syracuse, passed away Friday morning at his home. He was the fourth of eight children, born to Kenneth Koch and Georgian (Morgan) Koch on June 16th, 1926 in Madrid, NY. He graduated from Madrid Central School, worked on the family farm and came to Syracuse when he was 21. Daniel worked at General Electric and then at Western Electric, retiring when they closed in 1984. He married Elizabeth "Liz" Reagan in 1954 and they had 2 children, Kenneth and Robert.
He was predeceased by his parents; son, Kenneth; brothers, George, Bill and John; sisters, Laura and Lina.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth "Liz" (Reagan) Koch; son, Robert (Kathryn) and their children, Clarissa and Van of Denver, CO; daughter-in-law, Melissa Koch and children, Ryan and Nicholas of Niagara Falls, NY; brother, Sam of Florida; sister, Glenna Koch of Norfolk, NY and many special nieces and nephews.
Daniel liked to travel and made numerous trips to California, spent 14 winters in Florida and enjoyed their camp in Chase Mills, NY. He did many wood work projects and repaired washing machines which led to his nieces and nephews calling him "Dan Dan the washing machine man."
No calling hours or services will be held.
