Dale E. "DJ" Johnson, 76, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at home peacefully with family at his side, after a long battle with cancer. Dale was an honorably discharged veteran and a life member of the Mattydale VFW post 3146, the American Legion and T.U. Dale retired from the Teamsters local 317.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Pearl M. Johnson; a son, Michael (Linda) Johnson; three daughters, Sheryl Germano (Bill Sharlow), Darlene (Tim) Waters, Barbara (Tom) Rogers; 5 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter; a sister, Patricia Pettys; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at a later date.
Contributions in "DJ's" name may be made to Hospice of CNY.
