Dale C. Cornwell Booth
February 5, 1936 — February 26, 2020
Dale Catherine Cornwell Booth, 84, of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Central Square, NY passed away from a long battle with Alzheimer's on February 26, 2020.
Dale worked as a traffic manager with WTVH Channel 5 for 30 years. When she retired, she moved to New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Dale loved the beach and the sunshine. She loved being very active walking the beach every day, doing yoga, and swimming. She had a love for dogs, she always had a golden retriever or a lab. Sandy was her most beloved dog of 15 years. Dale was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who was always sweet, kind and generous. She volunteered for the NSB Hospital, the Pink Door, and Meals on Wheels in New Smyrna Beach. Dale followed Syracuse University sports and loved to travel; her most favorite vacation spot was Greece.
She is survived by her beloved son, Peter (Christina) Ciciarelli; loving grandsons, Jake and Jay Ciciarelli; great-granddaughters, Stella and Vaida Ciciarelli; cousin, Lee Reagan; several nieces, nephews, and many loving and thoughtful friends.
Dale was predeceased by her mother, Katherine Zee Murray; father, George P. Cornwell; brothers, Darrell Cornwell and George Cornwell, Jr.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with a funeral service immediately following.
A special thank you to Keepsake Village at Greenpoint, Crouse Hospital staff, and Dale's friend and aide who was at her side throughout her illness, Cindy Schaap.
