Cynthia “Cindy” Wilcox, 54, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2024, after months of suffering from metastatic cancer.
Cindy was a graduate of Paul V. Moore High School in Central Square NY and of SUNY Morrisville. An avid singer, she participated in various church choirs and choruses, including a production of Salt City Theater’s, Jesus Christ Superstar. She loved her church, Park Central Presbyterian, where she served as a Deacon.
All who were privileged to know her were aware of her many passions. Those included; baking (especially her beautifully frosted Christmas cookies), movies (romantic comedies and everything Disney!), decorating for every season and holiday, shopping, and --most of all-- anything pink.
Cindy was predeceased by her parents, Reverend Jay and Sandy Wilcox. She is survived by her sister, Wendy Wilcox, brother-in-law, Bryan Hagin, niece, Jenna Hagin, and nephews, Kyle and Ryan Hagin.
She was also fortunate to have many extended family members and friends who surrounded her with caring and love throughout her illness.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29 at Park Central Presbyterian Church, 504 East Fayette Street, Syracuse, NY. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cindy’s memory to Francis House Hospice, who provided her extraordinary and loving care in her final days.
