Cynthia Y. Sims, 76, of Clay, passed away January 30, 2023. Cynthia was born in Syracuse, NY on May 1, 1946 to Selah and Barbara Taylor.
She was passionate about her family, spoiling her grandchildren, cooking and baking for others, traveling and exploring, crafting and running a business with her husband, having fun at the casinos and winning bingo jackpots, and growing the most beautiful gardens.
She was preceded in death by Father, Selah Taylor; Mother, Barbara Newcomb; Brothers, Ronnie Taylor, and Larry (Corky) Taylor.
She is survived by her Husband of 60 years, Charles T. Sims; Daughter, Tami Delahunt (Sims); Sons, Thomas Sims, Charles R. Sims, and Michael Sims; Grandchildren, Ashley Kolodzie, John Kolodzie, Austin Sims, Allison Sims, Noah Sims, Keira Sims, Dominick Sims and Autumn Sims; Great-Grandchildren, Brooke and Addison; Sister, Pamela Kilburn; and Brother, Ricky Taylor.
Family and friends may call on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, Syracuse, where funeral services will be held Friday at 7:00 pm
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Cynthia's name to the Alzheimer's Association of CNY.
