Cynthia J. Lopes, 55, of Central Square, passed away Tuesday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Syracuse, she was a graduate of Cicero High School, worked for A&E Transport and the Central Square School District. Cynthia is predeceased by her parents, Paul and Rose Meyers and a sister, Pat Witz.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, George; 3 sons, George (Charity) Lopes Jr., Timothy (Kristy) Lopes, Donald (Michelle) Hilton; 3 daughters, Lisa Myers, Holly Hilton, Kimberly Lopes; 5 brothers, Edward Lenweaver and R. Michael Lenweaver, Paul "Butch" Meyers, Gary Meyers and Thomas Meyers; 3 sisters, Pat Pharoah, Faye O'Brien, Terry Meyers; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, 9 AM at New Comer Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in the North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Friday from 4-7PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse.
Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Caughdenoy Vol. Fire Dept.
