Cora Achsa (Miller) Williamson, 88, a life long resident of South Granby, Fulton, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Friday.

Cora was born on November 8, 1924 in a rented farm house and was raised by her grandmother, Carrie (Crockford) Lampman, on the family farm after her own mother's death. After graduating from Fulton High School she married Billy Williamson in 1942. Cora and her grandmother operated their farm while Billy served in WW II.

Cora was a hardworking and thrifty housewife, mother, farmer and bookkeeper for Bill's Oil Service for 22 years. She had a passion for cats, growing flowers, finding four leaf clovers, studying bible lessons, teaching Sunday school, adorning the Church altar with flower arrangements each week and adoring her grandchildren.

She was a member of the Little Utica United Methodist Church, OX Creek Home Bureau, Lamson Grange #588, Onondaga County Pomona, NYS and National Grange. She was a leader of the South Granby Grinders 4H Club for many years. She was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, William L. Williamson, and her beloved daughter, Dorinne Williamson. She was also predeceased by her parents, Bertha (Lampman) and Marvin Miller; her sisters: Mabel Alnutt, Cynthia House and Mary Longyear; and her brother: Philo Miller.

Surviving are her children; Merle (Sue) Williamson, Jacqueline (Ed) Hernandez, Philip (Becky) Williamson, all of Fulton; Lawton (Amy) Williamson of Liverpool, Melody (Rick) DiSalvo, of Phoenix, NY, and her brother, Marvin Art Miller, of Weedsport, NY, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 4-6pm at the Little Utica United Methodist Church, Lamson Rd., Phoenix, NY. The service will follow at 6pm at the church with spring burial in Little Utica United Methodist Church, Lamson Rd., Phoenix, NY., Lysander, NY.
