Constance Frail Ho

Constance Frail Ho, 93, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, at her daughter’s home in Boston. She had gone to live with her daughter after her husband, Kenneth Ho, died in 2016.

She was born in Montpelier, VT, graduated from Montpelier High School in '49, went to Vermont Junior College and earned her Associates Degree as a Medical Secretary. She moved to Burlington, VT and worked for one of the UVM Medical School professors. This is where she met her love, Ken. They dated, married in June 1956, then moved to Syracuse, NY where Ken set up his doctor’s office in Fairmount and had 4 children. They hosted many Christmas dinners for the Ho relatives of 25+ people for many years. Connie was very involved in Fairmount Community Church women’s groups and gave talks on the Chinese culture to Syracuse women’s groups. They traveled across the country twice and went to Hong Kong a few times (Ken’s birthplace) to visit relatives. They enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, lobstering in the Florida Keys and skiing in VT. They built a ski chalet in Stowe, VT in the 70s and retired there in 1994. They thoroughly enjoyed their grandsons, Brandon and Kyle and frequently saw them as they grew up.

Connie is the last of her generation of the Frail family. Her three brothers, Donald (Imperia), Roger (Lorraine) and Raymond (Rosemary) had died years ago. She’s at peace in heaven with God and to finally be with her beloved Kenny, 3 brothers and sisters in law, some nieces and nephews, relatives from Ken’s side of the family, as well as many church and school friends.

She is survived by her children, Evelyn (Mark), James, Daniel (Wendy) and Stephanie; grandsons, Brandon and Kyle; as well as multiple Ho relatives and Frail nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Connie's Life will be held Saturday, April 26th at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 North Main St, North Syracuse, NY 13212. Calling hours will be held from 9-11am, followed by a service. A private burial will be held in VT in June.
