Colin K. Nixon

July 17, 1934 — February 14, 2012

Colin K. Nixon, 77, of Baldwinsville, New York died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at University Hospital in Syracuse, New York. A native of Kingston, Jamaica, Mr. Nixon came to the US in 1962 settling in Baldwinsville in 1977.

He retired from AIG Insurance as a Supply Manager.

Colin was a caring, friendly, talkative and giving man who was always willing to help. He had numerous interest including reading the dictionary, telling jokes, jazz music and was always the life of the party.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, the former Jean P. McKenzie; sons, Colin G. Nixon of NYC and Anthony Nixon of Baldwinsville, New York; two grandchildren, Colleen and Josh; daughter-in-law, Shellinie; a sister, Merle Nelson of NYC and a nephew, Roy Nelson, Jr.

Calling hour will be from 11 AM-12PM on Thursday, February 23, 2012 with services to follow immediately at 12 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Steet, North Syracuse, New York. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, New York.
