Clifford L. "Cliff" Jindrak

Clifford L. "Cliff" Jindrak, 93, died Mon., July 7 in VA Hospital, Syracuse.
Born Aug. 16, 1920 in NYC to Olga and Leonard Jindrak. He experienced many lifelong accomplishments. He graduated from Riverdale Country School, Bronx in 1939. He then entered the military for Officer Candidate School and served in the infantry during WWII. He was awarded the Silver Star for his brave and heroic efforts during the Anzio Campaign in Feb. 1944. When 2 of his men were injured, he worked for 35 hours under fire to repair the communications to set back a superior enemy. After his honorable discharge, Clifford attended and graduated from Pace College, NYC. Clifford was a retired auditor.
Clifford was married to his wife of over 71 years, Eva Marie (Schweppenhauser) Jindrak. He is also survived by his sons, Jonathan C. (Patricia) and Mark (Trudie); five grandchildren, Suzann, Heidi, Stephanie, Michael and Mark; eight great-grandchildren, Emily, Christine, Jovanna, Hunter and Stan JrGianna, Madaline and Marcus.
Predeceased by Mark's first wife, Roberta M. (Speen) in 2007.
Calling hours will be 4-6pm on Friday with a funeral service following at 6pm at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse.
