Clifford E. Greene, 91, of Syracuse, passed away at the VA Medical Center on Sunday.
Born on October 11, 1924 to the late Roy Greene and Ethel Taber Greene in Watertown, NY. Clifford was a veteran having served in WW II. Clifford loved the outdoors and was an avid animal lover. His passion was music and singing at any given time he could break out in a song. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was married to Norma Roof Greene who passed in 2000.
He is survived by a daughter Linda Greene Mekete, son-in-law, Elias Mekete, niece Beth Herendeen and a nephew Don Dunn, 4 grandchildren; Samuel, Olivia, Jacob & Zachariah Mekete. Clifford has a great granddaughter, Alanna Mekete who is 6 months old and he was looking forward to welcoming a second great grandchild in September 2016.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 11-12noon at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
Burial will take place at Adams Rural Cemetery.
