Clifford Irving Blair, 93, and a native of Clay, NY, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020, after a short illness.
Cliff was a 1944 graduate of North Syracuse High School and was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in France and Germany. He was employed by General Electric (Syracuse) in the Defense Electronics Division for 40 years, spending 28 years as manager of Production and Planning Control. He retired in 1987.
He served on the town of Clay Planning board and was a member of the Pine Plains Cemetery Board of Trustees, serving 12 years as President. Cliff was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Syracuse.
He is survived by his Wife of 66 years, Edith (Sahm) Blair; a son, James (Karen) Blair of Pennellville; a daughter, Theresa (Dan) Huss of Toledo, Ohio; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren, with two on the way.
There will be no calling hours.
Services will be private, at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be at the Pine Plains Cemetery in Clay.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Maple Downs in Fayetteville, and the nurses and staff at Crouse Irving Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion.
