Claudette H. (Mesec) Goldsmith
June 22, 1938 — November 12, 2016
Claudette H. (Mesec) Goldsmith, 78, of N. Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Saturday surrounded by her family. She was a dedicated volunteer at St. Rose of Lima Church for several years. Claudette enjoyed gardening, crocheting, babysitting grandchildren and spending time with her church and family.
Claudette was predeceased by her husband, Jack Goldsmith; son, James "Jimmy" Gonyo and 3 brothers, Douglas, Claudius and Darrell Mesec.
She is survived by her 5 children, Bruce Gonyo, Bonnie (Michael) Leonelli, Lynn Gonyo, Ann (Richard) Bettis and Alan (Jennifer) Goldsmith; 8 grandchildren, Danielle, Anthony, Angela, Michael, Bryan, Melissa, Hailey and Bella; 4 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; 2 sisters and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday 5-8PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday 10AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, N. Syracuse with burial to follow in N. Syracuse Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Rose of Lima Church.
